Common Maintenance Framework (CMF)

The intention for CMF is to unify the look-and-feel of user interface screens and to reduce the development time needed to introduce maintenance of new data in the system. CMF is the engine for maintenance functions - in general, these are the functions that simply retrieve the data from the data source, allow the user to change this data and save it back to the data source. CMF is also powered with plug-in system that allows to replace the default operation with custom-made. CMF is not a stand-alone product. It is a set of rules and tools that are used by other systems to maintain data. In this context, CMF provides services to those systems.

CMF can be easily integrated into any web- and database- based product running under Windows 2000/XP. Usage of CMF reduces development time and eases product support.

CMF is based mainly on Microsoft products and technologies. The core of the product is the usage of XML and XSL, powered by Microsoft's fastest XML Parser 4. CMF's platform is Windows 2000 with its Internet Information Server 5.1 (IIS) as the web-server, COM+ component services as the application server, and SQL Server 2000 as the back-end database server. CMF is developed using Visual C++ and COM+
